In the heart of South Tyrol and one of Mila's most amazing milk collection areas

Like a protective horseshoe, the mountains of the Val Sarentino/Sarntal Alps surround the valley that stretches northwards from Bolzano, a quiet place to reflect between the main arteries of the Eisack and Etsch valleys. High mountains to the north flatten out further southwards to produce a fascinating natural landscape just a few kilometres from the bustling regional capital.
It comes as a constant surprise how the landscape changes and the precipitous mountain summits attract the eye as the road snakes up into the high valley: a play of natural colours with lush pine forests, villages large and small, deep blue lakes, wonderful hiking trails on the lower slopes and snow-crowned peaks rising to almost 3,000 metres.
You breathe freely, a weight off your shoulders. Above await smooth panoramas, from the Zillertaler Alps over the entire spectrum of the Dolomites, a UNESCO world natural heritage site, to the glaciers of the Ortler massif.

In this wonderful alpine valley our cooperative collects the fresh mountain milk every day from 185 mountain farmers. This is definetely the right place to celebrate the jubilee of 40 years of Mila yoghurt.
